Lost Planet 2 going multiplatform?

Lost Planet 2 might not be exclusive to XBOX360 as earlier thought it could be hitting PS3 and PC.
When asked by GameDaily whether the game would be exclusive to the 360, Takeuchi's response was simply "We are currently investigating other platforms." This definitely sounds like either it'll be a timed exclusive or Capcom wants MS to dish out more money to make it an exclusive. Hopefully we'll know more on this soon.

Bioshock vs Resistance 2

This is a comparison of Resistance 2 vs. Bioshock on the PS3 both getting high average review scores on Metacritic. I am only going to be comparing the single player campaigns of both games.

Resistance 2 is a game that puts you in a war zone where you have to fight an alien intruder the Chimera and getting rid of bosses that are larger than life. It is like a Sci-fi version of Battlefield: Bad Company or other such war games. On the other hand, Bioshock has you in an underwater world called Rapture where you use all sorts of weapons and powers to fight your way through it.

Graphics:
Here i my opinion Resistance 2 is definitely shines ahead of Bioshock. Keep in mind that Bioshock is a port of a game released a year ago on the XBOX. But the graphics of Bioshock definitely don't look bad and hold up quite well even to today's standards.

Gameplay:
The gameplay of Resistance is like most shooters you've got you guns, bigger guns and explosives to take on your enemies while in Bioshock you get a larger variety of weapons and you also get a lot of powers like telekinesis, electric bolt, freeze etc. which you find and upgrade throughout the game. These powers can be used anytime and gives players a lot of variety on how they can fight there way through this city.
There are very apparent drops in the framerate in Bioshock which we've become quite accustomed to in games that are ported from the XBOX or PC. On the other hand Resistance 2 runs very smoothly ant the graphics definitely shine in comparison.
Both games have there charm and are very different in the way they play so I'm going to say this round is a tie.

Story:
Bioshock has a deep story and is very well tied in with the game and makes you want more. The story of Resistance 2 is quite weak but still good enough to keep you interested in the game until the next big battle cause that's where the real fun lies. This round goes to Bioshock hands down.
Overall:
After playing through both of them i found them both to be excellent shooters in their own right but very different. Resistance 2 is a perfect if you're looking for a game that is more like a traditional shooter with some sci-fi elements added into it. Bioshock is definitely a better choice if you're into survival horror shooters like Resident Evil.

Mass Effect 2 not coming to PS3?

It looks like Mass Effect 2 won' t be coming to the PS3, EA officially announced the release for next year on XBOX360 and PC. No mention of PS3 was made. So for now we can only assume that no Mass Effect coming to the PS3. But EA still has not disqualified the possibility of mass effect coming to PS3. Maybe it'll be a timed exclusive on the XBOX360 or both part one and two will be released together at a later date on the PS3.

The press release is stated below:

EDMONTON, Alberta - (Business Wire) Leading video game developer BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) today officially announced Mass Effect 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the multi award-winning 2007 hit, Mass Effect. The Mass Effect trilogy is a masterful science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life forms and mysterious uncharted planets. In this dark second chapter, Saren's evil army of Geth soldiers has just been defeated, and humans, who are still struggling to make their mark on the galactic stage, are now faced with an even greater peril..."We're going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story," said Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager and CEO, BioWare and General Manager and Vice President, EA."Mass Effect 2 is shaping up to be an unforgettable RPG-shooter experience, taking players on a non-stop roller-coaster ride filled with stunning plot twists and no-holds-barred action."Mass Effect 2 is coming to PC and the Xbox 360 video game system in Early 2010.

Joystiq.com writes that they spoke with Heather Rabatich at BioWare this afternoon who said, "We have no comment beyond the platforms we've announced it for." That's not a confirmation or a denial of it coming to PS3. The jury is apparently still out on that possibility. (Source:

If Ninja Gaiden 2 can come to PS3 why not Mass Effect?

This is not any official news just my opinion.

We just heard the announcement of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on PS3 which will basically be a revamped version of Ninja Gaiden 2 on XBOX360. Now just like Mass Effect; Ninja Gaiden 2 was published by Microsoft. Because the IP of Ninja Gaiden 2 is owned by Tecmo the developer of the game they can publish the game to another platform with a few alterations. Similarly, the IP of Mass Effect is owned by EA when it bough out Bioware so technically EA can publish Mass Effect on PS3 if they wanted to. I guess we'll know more hopefully, when EA makes an official announcement at the GDC (Game Developers Conference) starting on the 23rd March '09. Keep watching here for more news on MASS EFFECT on the PS3.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 coming to PS3!

In the latest issue of Famitsu it has been revealed that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be coming to the PS3. This is another great addition to the list of great games lined up on the PS3 this year. This will probably be basically the Ninja Gaiden 2 released on the XBOX360 last year with some graphical and content additions. Looking forward to this.
It has been confirmed by Tecmo that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be released around Fall of this year.
